Adding images to product listings significantly enhances their appeal and effectiveness. High-quality images capture attention and provide a clear understanding of the product. This leads to higher engagement, better conversion rates, and potentially reduces return rates.

Adding product images & attachments (manually)

Enhance your product listings in KatanaPIM by adding high-quality images. Follow these steps to update your product images manually.

  • Step 1: Go to your product catalog and click on 'Manage products'. This is where you can choose the product you want to update.
  • Step 2: Select a product and navigate to the 'Mappings' section. Here, you will find the option for 'Images'.
  • Step 3: To upload images, click 'Browse' and choose the desired images from your files. KatanaPIM supports formats like JPEG, JPG, PNG, and WEBP.
  • Step 4: Once selected, the images will be listed on the product page. Click 'Upload images' to add them to your product.
  • Step 5: You can rearrange the order of the images by dragging and dropping, or delete any image using the 'Delete' button. Ensure you click 'Save' after making changes.

Adding attachments (manually)

KatanaPIM also supports enriching your product pages with informative and engaging videos and PDFs, like how-to guides or instructional videos.

  • Step 1: Return to the 'Mappings' section of your selected product.
  • Step 2: Click on 'Attachments', and then 'Browse files' to select the files you want to upload, such as videos or PDF documents.
  • Step 3: After selecting your files, upload them with a click. These attachments will be displayed on your product page.

Image settings

KatanaPIM offers flexibility and control over the image sizes you can upload to your product listings. This feature is designed to ensure that your product images meet the platform's standards without compromising on quality.

Setting maximum image size

  • Location: you can find this setting by navigating to configuration > media settings > maximum image size
  • Functionality: this setting allows you to adjust the maximum size of images that can be uploaded. If an image exceeds this limit, the import process will fail, and you will receive an error message.
  • Maximum image size: the image size limit is 10,000 pixels.
  • Adjustment: to change the maximum image size, simply update the value in the 'maximum image size" field and save your changes.
